ClipOffline is privacy-first. No registration. Downloads run locally through the ClipOffline plugin, and ClipOffline.com never downloads, hosts, or stores your media.
What we collect
We collect as little as possible and nothing for more than 24 hours. Like most websites, our servers automatically receive basic connection data to keep the site reliable and secure.
To coordinate a download job, ClipOffline.com processes minimal job data including the link you submit, your selected format (video or audio only), a temporary job identifier/token used to communicate with the local plugin, and timestamps/status updates needed to show progress. This coordination data is kept only temporarily and deleted after completion, or after a short retention window for incomplete jobs. The media file itself is never stored on ClipOffline servers.
What we do not collect
- We do not require accounts or registration, and we do not collect personal information like your name, address, or payment details.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not profile you for advertising.
- We do not ask for source-site passwords or login credentials.
- We do not store downloaded media on ClipOffline servers.
How downloads work
ClipOffline.com prepares a download job and hands it off to the ClipOffline plugin on your device. The plugin then downloads directly from the original source to your computer. ClipOffline.com does not proxy the media.
Cookies & Analytics
We do not use analytics cookies for tracking at this time.
If advertising services are enabled in the future, they may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, subject to their own privacy policies.
Third-party services
We may use infrastructure providers (such as hosting or CDN services) to run ClipOffline.com. We do not use payment processors for this service at this time.
We do not currently use third-party error monitoring on the website.
Data retention
Job coordination data is deleted when a download completes, and retained for up to 24 hours for incomplete jobs. Basic server logs are kept for a limited period for security and abuse prevention.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited data we process. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
ClipOffline is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International users
If you access ClipOffline.com from outside your country, your data may be processed where our infrastructure providers operate.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to download and use any content. ClipOffline is intended for offline viewing and personal content creation. Copyright laws apply. Thank you for not pirating.
