Do you store my downloads?
No. ClipOffline.com never downloads, hosts, or stores your media. The file transfers directly from the source to your device through the local plugin.
How does the plugin work?
The website prepares a download job, then hands it off to the local plugin on your device. The plugin connects to the original source and saves the file to your computer. Learn more on how it works.
Why do I need the plugin?
By running downloads locally, ClipOffline avoids server bottlenecks entirely. The plugin downloads directly from the source, delivering speed, privacy, and effortless handling of large files and long-form videos. Grab it from the plugin page.
Where does my file get saved?
Files are saved on your computer, usually in your default downloads folder. You can change the location in your browser or plugin settings.
What formats do you support (MP3/MP4)?
You choose the format (Video or Audio only). Audio sources are automatically converted to MP3, and video sources are converted to MP4.
Why don’t I choose a download quality?
By design, ClipOffline handles quality automatically to keep the experience simple, reliable, and consistent. You choose the format (Video or Audio only), and ClipOffline automatically downloads the highest quality available from the source.
Why did my download stop or take a long time?
Long downloads can happen with large files, slow connections, or source throttling. Try again on a stable network, keep the plugin open, and avoid sleep mode during the transfer.
Is ClipOffline legal to use?
ClipOffline is meant for content you have the rights or permission to use. You are responsible for complying with copyright laws and terms. Thank you for not pirating.
Do you collect any data?
We collect minimal job coordination data (like a link, format choice, and a temporary token) so the plugin can run the download. That data is deleted after completion, or within 24 hours if a job doesn’t finish. See our privacy policy.
Can ClipOffline download private or paywalled content?
No. ClipOffline does not bypass paywalls, logins, or private access controls. Only paste links to content you’re authorized to access.
How do I uninstall the plugin?
